Suspended Pink Ball Ribbon Installment Over St. Catherine Street In Montreal
Montreal’s Gay Village is host to another annual “Aires Libres” festival this year, going on from May 14 to September 16. Designer Claude Cormier and his partner Gilles Arpin have come up with this year’s exciting installation for just over St. Catherine Street in the Village.
2012 is home to the pink ball-ribbon art which is a stunning display a kilometer above the ground, and spans the entire street. Cormier’s partner who is also a lighting designer, designed a spotlight that keeps the light and excitement focused on the pink floating orbs above at all times. Visitors can peer at the installment at various stops along the way to take in the beauty and copious amounts of preparation that we are sure went into this.
